This uniquely cozy little pub goes back to 1783 when it was a distillery and since then it has been a taproom. Recently the bar has been up-dated with elleven draught beer taps with sublime beer, such as Steam beer from the West Coast brewery Anchor, the Italian Birra Menebrea and many more. You can also get a variety of interesting foreign bottled beers and the house specialty 'Byens Øl' (i.e. the town's beer) brewed at Svaneke Bryghus on the Baltic island of Bornholm especially for Byens Kro. Charlie's Bar 
In Pilestræde a stone's throw from Strøget, the pedestrian street, you will find this beer Mecca. Twenty draught beer taps guarantee something for every taste. A house specialty is the Cask Conditioned Real Ale Beer, which you simply must taste! The philosophy of Charlie's Bar is to support the independant breweries and to sell quality beer. The selection of beers is constantly renewed - it's people's choice. Charlie's has been a natural meeting point for beer enthusiasts ever since Ian Russel opened the bar in 2000. Café Globen 
Fifty members of the Travellers' Club founded this nice café, where you can get Danish micro brews and special beers from five taps and a number of bottled beers from exotic places. The Globe is the gathering point for beer connoisseurs and people with a call for foreign places. Here they can lean back in easy chairs, have a beer or two, smoke water pipe and read travel litterature from all over the world - or they can play backgammon at the tables. Guests have free access to the internet. Lectures on travels are arranged every Thursday and there is live music on weekends.

Lord Nelson 
British Richard Derby's small beer bar is found in a basement well hidden behind bicycle racks on the corner of Strædet and Hyskenstræde. From fourteen taps come brews exclusively from Danish micro breweries. The selection changes every month, which gives you a chance to get to taste the whole spectrum of Danish special beers. The key word is a 'beer experience' - therefore there are only a few bottled beers from Danish minor breweries.

The Globe 
The Globe in Nørregade is a quite large Irish pub where Belgian, German, American, Czeck, Dutch etc. beers are served apart from the Irish specialties. Plan·b is rather like two adjacent livingrooms decorated with personality and an eye for the layed back detail in art, service, cigars, music from vinyl, food and beverages. A cult venue for epicures. The selection of special bottled beers and beer barrels is enormous and with luck you may run into one of the exquisite well stored Belgian beers. The taps offer brews from good Danish micro breweries such as Ølfabriken, Grauballe and Brøckhouse and also 'Ugens Cantillon' (the Cantillon of the week), Blanche de Namure, Lambic and many other specialties. If you cannot find it elsewhere, chances are you'll find it here. The small bar serves sublime coffee, cookies and tapas as well.

In the quiet end of Nørre Farimagsgade just across from the Ørsted Park, this beer Mecca is located in three adjacent light and airy basement rooms. All kinds of good Danish beer flows from sixteen taps: Danish micro brews, German, British, Czeck, Belgian etc. If that's not enough, you will find sublime bottled beers on the copious menu - such as Westvleteren. Café Livida is situated on a corner of Ndr. Frihavnsgade and has outdoor serving on a pleasant terrace. The place has a large selection of beers. From the tap you can have German Weissbeer from Erdinger, the Italian Menabrea Ambrata and Bionda or Belgian Leffe, all served in original glasses. 45 foreign special bottled beers. The staff knows what it's all about and is very helpful, if you are in doubt. Café Livida serves brunch, a large lunch, and evening menu. Vegetarian dishes and salads all days of the week.

You'll find Café Komplet a few yards from Sølvtorvet. A pleasant bar/restaurant. Café Svejk 
This a true beer pub. The selection is limited, but excellent! Only four taps and four bottled beers. But each one is very special. The café imports various types of Bohemian Regent beer directly from the Czeck Republic, among these an unfiltered treat. The brewery is Czeckoslovakia's oldest. It was founded in 1379. Café Svejk has been famous for its Czeck beer since 1994, the staff really knows what it's all about!

A stones's throw from the Frederiksberg Hospital is where you find Café Bartof, a true music- and beer Mecca. Hackenbusch i one of the older and livelier places on Vesterbrogade. A pleasant bar in the front part of the room, three steps up into the back, you can always get an interesting and reasonable meal. The selection of beers is not large, but good. From some of the Danish micro breweries and foreign classics from tap and bottled. Every month, guests choose the following month's special draught beer.

Café HIGH Q 
At the corner of Sønder Boulevard and Saxogade this rustic and funky café with no less than elleven taps can be found. Seven taps are exclusively for foreign brews and one is for a Danish micro brewery. On the beer menu there are more than 80 bottled beers with a picture of each. The beer is mainly served in original beer glasses and the advice given by the staff is very good.

You will find no steel, 70's romantic atmosphere or top tuned design here, instead a pleasant mixture of furniture with its own charm because of its casual blend of styles. A good meeting place in the former pharmacy in Istedgade. Good and reasonably priced food. The beer menu isn't flashy but has Czeck, Slovak, American, Cuban, Ørbæk and not least Australian Stout and Belgian Rochefort 6.

Riesen 
This is an intimate, small bar in Oehlenschlaegergade close to Istedgade. The beer menu is not impressive, but OK. If you're very thirsty you can order a two litre pitcher with Weissbier, Budwar or a "John Mogensen" (late popular Danish singer), which consists of stout, aquavit, lemon soda, Ricard and ordinary pilsner beer. Other choices are: Limfjords Porter (stout) and Guldporse from Thisted, some Czeck beers and Cuban Cristal.

Here's quite a pearl! In Rantzausgade close to H.C.Ørstedsvej. Tjili Pop is a café with light dishes, a pub, a music venue and a beer oasis in an otherwise somewhat gloomy area. From nine taps, Danish micro brews and foreign specialties are drawn. The bottled beer selection is not big, but there are interesting beers included. This café is situated at Islands Brygge on the waterfront; an area, which has achieved "in" status and "Langebro" is one of the bridges leading to the island of Amager.
