The future of convenient travel

The future of convenient travel

14 Mar 2011

No check-in lines, no waiting time and no stress. Onboard Airline Check-in will soon offer hassle-free travel for cruise passengers departing from Copenhagen Airport.

Press release from Copenhagen Airport:

The same product that thousands of passengers have relied on in US ports is coming soon to Copenhagen Port and Airport.

By partnering with Bags, Inc., Copenhagen Airport will soon offer cruise passengers the ability to check-in for their flight and check their luggage from the comfort of their stateroom onboard the ship, enabling them to bypass the airline check-in counters at the airport.

Free from the burden of their luggage, eligible cruise passengers can enjoy the convenience of mobility and proceed directly to the security check point upon arrival at the airport. Secure procedures will take care of luggage from passenger staterooms through to pick-up at their final destination airports.

"Using the On Board Airline Check-in service at Copenhagen Airport will leave cruise passengers with a picture-perfect last impression of their travels. This convenient and innovative service was designed to make travel easier, and after several years of successful operation in US and Canada, we are ready to launch this service in Europe," says JJ Litchford, Business Delevoper at Orlando based Bags, Inc.

Remote Check-in will also be offered at selected hotels in Copenhagen and can be contracted for large groups—for charter cruises, charter flights, conventions, and conferences.

"At Copenhagen Airport, we are constantly working to make the passenger experience the best it can possibly be. Seamless, efficient, and enjoyable travel are our goals. This new wave of convenient travel is sure to meet all of passengers’ expectations and more," says Lisbet Clausen, Project Manager at Copenhagen Airports.

Fastest gateway between Copenhagen, Scandinavia and the rest of the world

With 135 international destinations, 21,5 million passengers and a central location right in the heart of Southern Scandinavia, Copenhagen Airport offers a unique gateway to the world for cruises with turnaround in Copenhagen.

Transportation time from Copenhagen Airport to Copenhagen Central Station by train is 12 minutes, to Copenhagen City center by metro it is 14 minutes and to Copenhagen Port by car only 25 minutes.
