Buildings and shops are lit up by thousands of lights all over the city and especially Kongens Nytorv (The Kings Square) and Tivoli Gardens, both in the heart of the city, are breathtaking experiences for cruise passengers. Public outdoor skating has become popular in Copenhagen. You can bring your own skates, in which case it is free, or you can rent them on the spot for approximately DKK 50.

Many city churches have special Christmas concerts with classical choir music as well as more popular and traditional concerts with Danish, Latin and English carols. St. Alban's Church, known as the English Church, will also be open to visitors during Christmas. The English Church is only a few minutes away from Langelinie Pier.
