Hybrid bars

A new and popular genre in Copenhagen are the so-called 'hybrid bars' of 'fusion restaurants'. Everywhere these new phenomena are appearing that combine restaurants and bars.

Aura

One of these is Aura at Nytorv. Uncomplicated food with a lot of good taste is on the menu. You can check out Aura's concept of using fantasy together with skill by ordering one of their menus. Eight, elleven or fourteen courses, each one an exquisite experience. Restaurant, cocktail bar and surround sound add to the special Aura universe.

Viva

Boat restaurants are another popular addition. At Viva, a type of houseboat with outdoor serving on the top deck, you'll find a cocktail bar and lounge. Mediterranean specialities, fish, shellfish with a Scandinavian twist is what you see on the menu.

Restaurant Olsen

Next to the old canal accross from the Christiansborg Palace is Restaurant Olsen. The menu depends very much on the season and seasonal vegetables, fruit etc. You have international influence on Danish traditional dishes. Thursday, Fridays and Saturday the bar is open until 2am.
