Bakken Beer Festival

Together with Carlsberg and Royal Unibrew, Bakken, the amusement park just north of Copenhagen, arranges a three day festival. Many micro breweries participate and there is music and other outdoor entertainment. In 2008 the festival takes place 12 - 14 June.

September:

European Beer Festival

For the last five years the Association of Danish Beer Enthusiasts have established a Brew Festival, where all Danish brewers and breweries - giants as well as micros - are invited. Guests get a chance to sample more than 500 brews. With your admission ticket comes an official sampling glass more or less the size of a brandy glass. This you take along with you from one stall to the other and in exchang for for tokens, available at the entrance, get a taste of the various brews. In 2008 the beer festival will take place at Carlsberg in Valby 12 - 14 September.

November:

J-day

The first Friday of November from 20:59 (8:59 pm) the Tuborg Christmas Brew (Julebryg) is released all over the country and gree samples are give out at several Copenhagen cafés and pubs. Tuborg Christmas Beer has been part of the Danish Christmas tradition since 1982. Now many other breweries have special brews for Christmas.
