The Louisiana Concert Hall
In Humlebæk on the coast road to Helsingør (Elsinore) approximately 40 kilometers north of Copenhagen is the Louisiana Art Museum.  The main building was originally the summer residence of a well-to-do Dane. Later modern extensions have been added that blend naturally into the magnificent park, which boarders the Sound between Denmark and Sweden. Adjacent to the museum restaurant, which has a fine view accross the water is the The Louisiana Concert Hall.

Excellent for chamber music
It was built in 1976. It seats 265 and was designed by the architects Jørgen Bo and Vilhelm Wohlert; the chairs were designed by Poul Kjærholm and the walls were decorated and paintings were specially done for the Concert Hall by the American painter Sam Francis. The fine acoustics and intimate atmosphere of the hall make it excellent for chamber music in particular.
