Gilleleje Badehotel

The North Sealand coast offers two classic seaside hotels, Gilleleje Badehotel and Helenekilde Badehotel. Both hotels are from the beginning of the 20th century. The present Gilleleje Badehotel was originally built as a beach house in 1895, but has gone through a total renovation leaving it in bright colours, specially built beds and an authentic dining room with a wooden floor and blue furniture. In the wellness area you can relax in the sauna, aroma Jacuzzi, steam bath or get a massage. Most of the hotel's 27 rooms have seaside view, and right next to the hotel is a wonderful wide beach.

Helenekilde Badehotel

Another sanctuary of the north coast is Helenekilde Badehotel, originally built in 1904. It was run as a bathing house by the Warning sisters up until 1999. Today the seaside hotel is run in the very same spirit. The atmosphere is relaxed, and Copenhageners seek this place out during weekends and summer to enjoy the ocean view from the hotel's balcony and terrace. The hotel does not have an exact wellness area, but the calmness, fresh air and delicious food are nothing but good for body and soul. Helenekilde Badehotel is decorated with lovely second-hand findings from France and kept in bright colours.
