Efficient infrastructure
Thanks to our excellent transportation system, getting around Copenhagen is easy, efficient and economical. For regional touring on pre- or post-cruise stays, there are numerous rail, bus and rental car options. Major investments over the past five years have brought the city a wealth of three- to five-star hotels for pre- and post-cruise stays. English is spoken just about everywhere in Denmark.
World class sightseeing
Tivoli Gardens, historic castles and palaces, stunning architecture, year-round festivals, sophisticated dining, excellent shopping, outstanding music and cultural events. Book your clients a pre- or post-cruise stay so they can experience it all.
Up-selling opportunities
Even if your clients have cruised to or from Copenhagen before, there is always something new happening here. Because the city and surrounding region are so compact and easy to navigate, your clients can see and do a lot during a pre- or post-cruise stay. Book them on a land-based program that takes in the sights in and around the city, or tailor a package to your clients' special interests, such as architecture and design, history, music or food. You can even send them off on bike tours or other active vacations. Ask us about the options.
More commission
The Baltic region continues to experience a boom in popularity, with more ships calling here than ever before. More ships mean more capacity, and more opportunity for you to book your clients on a fabulous cruise through the Baltic region.
Less red tape
Cruising is a convenient and hassle-free way for your clients to explore the Baltic region. No visas are necessary and no costly arrival or departure fees required.
Tax-free shopping
More than 4,000 shops in Denmark are part of the Global Refund network, which returns VAT on goods and gifts purchased by travelers from outside the EU. Clients simply submit their VAT refund receipts at Customs upon departure and they will receive a refund of up to 19 percent of their purchase price.
Value for money
Cruises remain one of the best travel values. The cost of a cruise is all-inclusive when purchased in the passenger's local currency, so there should be no concern about currency fluctuations. The same holds true for pre-booked shore excursions and pre- and post-cruise stays. Encourage your clients to make all of their arrangements ahead of time.
